ADIVCE FOLLOWING EAR SURGERY
Do's:
Do Sneeze through your mouth, not nose if possible.
Do Make slow gentle movements – not sudden movements.
Do keep your ears DRY AND CLEAN.
If your hair needs washing, do get someone to help you. Soaking a piece of cotton wool in Vaseline and putting this in your ear will stop water from getting in). Do not wash your hair until your stitches have been removed, except with a flannel.
Do sleep on your good ear.
Do take any medication prescribed for the full course.
Dont's:
Don't blow the nose violently
Don't turn your head suddenly.
If you have packing in your ear, don't touch it. If the packing comes out ring the practice.
Don't go to work or school until advised by me.
